Frequently asked questions
Didn’t find your answer? Ask through support inside the game.
Is Crowns & Clans free?
Yes. Signing up and playing are completely free, and you never need to pay to progress.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The game runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. There is an Android app, and on iPhone you can install the site like an app with “Add to Home Screen”.
How much time does it take each day?
The world runs in real time and construction and marches continue while you are offline. A few short visits a day are enough; the more active you are, the faster you grow.
What are gems? Is it pay-to-win?
Gems are a special in-game currency, mostly for looks (banners, titles, auras) and a few conveniences like build orders, with no direct combat advantage. Gems have no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
Which faction is best for beginners?
Romans, with faster construction, are the easiest start; Egyptians suit calm, defensive play and Vikings suit aggressive play. See the factions page.
What happens if I am attacked while offline?
Your wall and troops at home defend automatically, your hideout hides part of your resources and allies can send support. You are also protected for your first days.
Can I have more than one account?
No. One account per person. If you play from the same connection or home as someone else, declare it in the game so the staff know.
Is this related to Travian or other games?
No. Crowns & Clans is in the village-strategy genre, but its design, rules, story and art are its own, and it is not affiliated with any other game or company.
Which languages are available?
English and Persian. You can switch at any time.
